Measurement and automation light curtains

Light curtains for industrial and civil applications where it is necessary to detect, measure, and recognise objects.

Depending on the number and position of the beams engaged by an object, the measurement sensors can provide real time information to a PLC or PC in order to: Detect the presence or absence of objects, perform a count, detect a position, detect a shape or a profile, measure dimensions.

Key features

MicronConfigurator software for PC is supplied with each light curtain

Possibility of connection of up to 3 Micron B light curtains as nodes of an RS-485 serial line

  Beams spacing available: 5, 10, 25, 30 , 50 and 75 mm.

  Operating Temperature (°C): from -10 to 55.

Waterproof housing in compliance with IP65 and IP67 requirements.

MICRON A

AV (0/10 VDC) analogue output, AC (4/20 mA) analogue output

Solution providing simple measurement with easy interfacing. Ideal for object measurement and detection of dimensional limits

MICRON B

RS-485 serial line + two solid state outputs 0/24V with programmable functions

Solution providing complete and detailed information on the status of each beam via the RS-485 serial line and, by means of the two solid state outputs, further on/off information related to the occurrence of the programmed conditions.
Ideal for dimensional measurement, detection of object profile and position

MICRON C

Two solid state antivalent outputs 0/24V without the need of programming

Solution providing simple on/off information related to the status of the controlled area. Ideal for piece counting and detection of object presence/absence in the controlled field

MICRON IO-LINK

Models with IO-Link protocol

IO-Link is a point-to-point serial communication protocol that allows the bi-directional exchange of data from sensors and the IO-Link Master.

The IO-Link master can transmit the received data over fieldbuses, networks or different buses, making the data accessible for other devices (i.e. PLC or interfaces).
Each IO-Link sensor carries an IODD file (IO Device Description) containing device information and features.

Configurable Parameters via the IO-Link Master: Syncro type, bearing, scan cycles, Data transmission mode, teach-in mode, teach-in tolerance

MICRON PHOTOCELLS

Single or Multibeams Photocells

Solution for piece counting and detection of object presence/absence in the controlled field.

Ideal for use as a Muting sensor in palletizers that handle irregular loads and pallets.

With a compact metal housing and a polycarbonate protective front window it offers the right degree of robusness ideal in the most demanding environments.
